www.qcva.com.au - Info Hub

Queensland Charter Vessel Association (QCVA) in partnership with the Australian Marinelife Institute (AMI) is developing a new Aquatic Tourism Info Hub to replace the existing qcva.com.au, promoting Queensland as a H2O Adventure Destination. The new Internet site will encompass an aquatic tourism operator directory, destination profiles, accommodation guide, events calendar, kids section and an Industry Resource Centre.

The Industry Centre will focus on providing the Aquatic Tourism Industry with up to date information on industry issues and trends, online training resources, maintenance e-tool box and an eco centre. Qcva.com.au will be linked to two associated sites, one an online aquatic tourism careers site, the other, a marine services directory.

Inside qcva.com.au
Tourist Operator Directory - Profiling QCVA members and members of QCVA Affiliates, the directory will allow travellers to find a fishing, diving, calm water tour and bare boat operator anywhere in Queensland. The site will include multimedia listings and in the near-future, secure bookings.

Destination Profiles - Each of Queensland's key tourist regions will be profiled in qcva.com.au. Visitors to the site will be able to access fact sheets, watch short video clips and view a current diary of events for each region. Easy to use links will give access to information on aquatic adventures in each region, accommodation options and travel information.

Finding that Adventure - For a site visitor finding their favourite aquatic past time will be easy, with Fishing, Diving, Bare Boating, Tours and exclusive chartering all listed by region. Each of these key activities will feature in regular articles, video clips and event reports.

QCVA Magazine - The QCVA Online Magazine will be published on a bimonthly basis, with articles covering the best Queensland has to offer in aquatic adventures and events. The magazine will also have a strong environmental focus, promoting the many ways people can support in participate in marine conservation programs as part of their holidays.

For Kids - In partnership with the Australian Marinelife Institute's junior environmental club, The Stripe Club, qcva.com.au will host a section designed specifically for children. Here kids will be able to learn about the oceans and marine waterways, how easy it is to join in an aquatic adventure and receive rewards for trying something new.

Events Calendar - If it is happening on the water in Queensland, then it will be in the Event Calendar found in qcva.com.au. From fishing tournaments to sailing regattas, boat shows and canoeing trails, it will be in qcva.com.au. Many event listings will include video clips, online bookings and downloadable fact sheets.

Industry Centre - Designed to assist the aquatic tourism industry to improve how it does business and cater to new markets, QCVA's Aquatic Tourism Industry Centre will provide simply access to everything needed to do business. From information on regulations, maintenance and training, to financial advice and interpretative activities, the centre will become the industry's single online resource.
